Vice President of Product Management Greater San Jose, CA Area

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Product Management to lead product strategy and translate business direction into a unified roadmap across hardware, materials, software, and production systems. Responsibilities include evaluating new applications through rigorous business cases, assessing their production feasibility and financial contribution, and making clear portfolio prioritization decisions. The role will partner with engineering to define next-generation platform requirements, engage customers and partners to ground decisions in production economics, and maintain a roadmap that supports existing customers. The VP will also recruit and develop product managers, establish investment processes, coordinate across research and development, operations, marketing, sales, and finance, and provide regular updates to executive leadership and the board. Candidates should have at least 10 years of product management or product leadership experience, including five or more years leading product management teams. Required qualifications include a record of taking physical products from customer insight through high-volume manufacturing, ownership of business outcomes such as revenue or margin, and technical fluency across hardware, materials, and software. Applicants should be able to assess markets and customer contracts, build robust business cases, and communicate difficult portfolio decisions. A bachelor's degree in engineering, materials science, or a related technical field—or equivalent experience—is required. Experience in vertically integrated manufacturing, additive manufacturing, regulated markets, or lean production, as well as an MBA or P&L background, is advantageous.
