Associate General Counsel Greater San Pawl il-Bahar, Malta Area

The Company is seeking an Associate General Counsel to provide legal support across its European operations and advise business leaders on a broad range of matters. Responsibilities include handling complaints and litigation, supporting product development and corporate governance, negotiating contracts, and advising on regulatory, compliance, sales, partnership, and marketing matters. The role also involves assessing legal risks related to digital assets, supporting asset reviews, managing licensing obligations, and coordinating with regulators and external counsel as needed. The successful candidate will collaborate with legal, product, and business teams and provide practical advice aligned with business objectives. Candidates must hold a Doctor of Law or Master in Advocacy degree and be qualified to practice as an Advocate under Maltese law. At least five years of experience at a leading law firm or in-house legal team is required, preferably in financial services or digital assets. Relevant knowledge or experience in cryptocurrency, blockchain, and applicable financial services regulation is valued, along with strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills. The role also calls for sound judgment, independence, adaptability, and the ability to work collaboratively on cross-jurisdictional matters in a fast-paced environment.
