Assistant Vice President, AI Data Engineer, Semantic Layer Greater Singapore Area

The Company is seeking an Assistant Vice President, AI Data Engineer, Semantic Layer to design and build a governed semantic foundation for analytics and AI applications. The role will define how business metrics, entities, and relationships are modelled, and develop reusable semantic views and the pipelines that support them. Responsibilities include building and tuning AI agents, improving answer accuracy, and establishing standards for testing, deployment, security, governance, and monitoring. The successful candidate will partner with business, investment, data, and technology teams to agree on definitions, guide adoption, and shape the semantic layer roadmap. They will also lead and mentor a small engineering team and assess emerging data and AI capabilities. Candidates should have 5–8 years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or data architecture, including at least two years building production semantic or metrics layers. Strong hands-on expertise in Snowflake, dimensional modelling, advanced SQL, Python, Apache Airflow, AWS, dbt, and CI/CD is required. Experience productionising LLM-based data applications, such as text-to-SQL, retrieval-augmented generation, or agent workflows, including evaluation and accuracy tuning, is also expected. The role calls for experience leading engineers and collaborating across business, governance, security, and architecture stakeholders. Financial services or investment data experience is an advantage.
