Head of Product Development & Innovation

The Company is in search of a Head of Product Development and Innovation to lead an engineering team and drive the entire product development process. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of approximately 20 employees across various sub-teams and ensuring effective collaboration with development teams in Asia. This role involves overseeing the product development process from the initial idea to series production, with a strong focus on optimization, innovation, and customer-centricity. The Head of Product Development and Innovation will also be tasked with shaping a future-proof development agenda, particularly in the areas of new materials, manufacturing technologies, and the integration of digital solutions. Applicants for the Head of Product Development and Innovation position at the company should be independent, solution-oriented, and entrepreneurial leaders with a clear vision for product development. A completed degree in mechanical engineering or a related technical field, along with at least 10 years' professional experience, is required. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading and transforming product development or engineering organizations, particularly within an international corporate environment. Functional expertise in the holistic development of complex technical systems and fluency in English, with a willingness to travel, are also essential. The role demands a leader who can provide practical support to employees, implement sustainable changes, and foster a culture of innovation and clear decision-making processes.
