Associate Vice President, Full Stack Java & Angular Developer Greater Toronto, Canada Area

The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President, Full Stack Java & Angular Developer to lead application development activities and guide a team delivering new or revised systems. Responsibilities include managing and coaching developers, overseeing technical issue escalation and resolution, providing technical direction across applications, and coordinating work across projects and teams. The role also contributes to planning, budgeting, procedures, and resource allocation, while assessing risks and ensuring compliance with applicable requirements. The successful candidate will analyze complex technical and business issues and take ownership of project delivery and technical decisions. Candidates should have 5–8 years of relevant experience, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, and demonstrated project management, leadership, and communication skills. Strong expertise is required in either backend development—particularly Java, Spring Boot, caching, messaging, and observability—or UI development, including Angular 15+, React, Node.js, and modern web technologies. Additional qualifications include knowledge of relational databases, CI/CD, Agile practices, software development lifecycles, and Unix or Linux scripting. Experience with cloud technologies, containerization, UI testing, Python, generative AI, or machine learning is an advantage.
