Associate Vice President, Finance Business Process & Systems Lead Greater Washington D.C. Area

The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President to serve as the senior techno-functional leader for its core finance operations. This role is pivotal in owning the process and systems landscape for accounting, accounts receivable, billing, and payroll, and in setting the strategy for the integration of AI, automation, and emerging technologies to enhance these functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining data integrity, driving process standardization, and leading a team through agile delivery. As the AI and technology champion, the AVP will define where automation and AI deliver the highest return, maintain a portfolio of use cases, and establish governance for safe technology adoption. The role also involves being a trusted strategic partner to finance leadership, leading technology and process initiatives, and managing risk and exposure across the domain. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree, with a concentration in a relevant field, and at least 7 years of experience in finance and accounting operations, financial systems, and process improvement. A strong background in GL, AR, billing, and/or payroll is preferred, along with proven experience in bridging finance and technology teams. The ideal candidate will have a track record of leading process reengineering and finance-systems implementations, as well as experience in applying AI and automation to finance processes. People leadership experience, proficiency in generative AI tools, and a background in private equity, financial services, or alternative investment operations are also key requirements. The role demands excellent communication, stakeholder management, and the ability to influence across various functions and seniority levels.
