Vice President of Engineering, Business AI Applications Remote (anywhere in California)

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Engineering, Business AI Applications, to lead the strategy, architecture, and delivery of AI and machine learning capabilities across business applications, with a focus on the opportunity-to-quote lifecycle. The role will define a multi-year technology roadmap and establish standards for scalable AI solutions, including intelligent automation, predictive forecasting, and AI-assisted selling. Responsibilities include leading go-to-market engineering, developing a global multidisciplinary team, and driving major cross-organizational initiatives. The executive will also oversee AI governance and operations, while monitoring the performance, cost efficiency, and reliability of deployed solutions. Candidates should bring extensive experience with enterprise business applications and the opportunity-to-quote lifecycle, along with a record of leading teams and communicating effectively with executive and technical stakeholders. Deep expertise in agentic AI, generative workflows, retrieval-augmented generation, LLM engineering, predictive analytics, and machine learning is required, as is experience integrating AI into commercial platforms and API-first architectures. Enterprise MLOps or LLMOps experience, including model lifecycle management, monitoring, retraining, and testing, is also important. A master’s degree or PhD in engineering or a related STEM field is preferred, as is 20 or more years of product application engineering experience.
