Field Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Remote (anywhere in United States)

The Company is seeking a Field Chief Technology Officer to advise enterprise customers on AI security strategy and help turn their goals into practical architectures and deployments. The role leads executive briefings, technical workshops, architecture reviews, and strategic evaluations, while guiding customers on risks such as prompt injection, data exposure, unsafe agent actions, and excessive permissions. The Field CTO partners with customer teams and internal technical specialists to address complex implementation challenges and assess security, scalability, and operational needs. They also bring customer and market insights to product and engineering teams, contribute to technical strategy and thought leadership, and support strategic customer engagements. Candidates should typically have 10 or more years of experience in software engineering, enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, AI/ML infrastructure, technical consulting, or a related field, with a record of senior technical leadership. They need experience advising enterprise customers and strong knowledge of AI systems, including LLM applications, agents, and retrieval-augmented generation, alongside expertise in cloud platforms, APIs, distributed systems, identity, and application security. Excellent executive communication, presentation, facilitation, and writing skills are essential, as is the ability to influence product direction and work effectively across teams in a fast-changing environment. Experience in AI or cloud security, threat modeling, AI red-teaming, security platforms, or senior customer-facing technology leadership is an advantage.
