Head of Information Security Remote (anywhere in United States)

The Company is seeking a Head of Information Security to lead and advance its enterprise-wide information security program. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for overseeing security operations, cybersecurity strategy execution, risk management, and regulatory compliance initiatives to protect the company's systems, data, and business operations. The successful candidate will be a trusted advisor to executive leadership, providing strategic guidance on emerging threats, risk mitigation, and the continued maturity of the organization's cybersecurity program. Key responsibilities include program leadership, security operations and team leadership, policy and AI governance, SOX, audit, and compliance, cyber resilience and business continuity, risk and third-party management, and stakeholder and leadership communication. Applicants for the Head of Information Security position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 12 years in information security, including at least 3 years in a leadership role. The role requires a candidate with a strong business acumen, hands-on leadership style, and the ability to influence and lead a team through rapid change. Experience in security operations, incident response, vulnerability management, and managing security vendors is essential. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in meeting operational objectives, strong communication skills, and the ability to translate technical concepts into clear business recommendations. Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, or CCSP are preferred, along with experience in a highly regulated industry and with security and compliance frameworks.
