Executive Director

The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its economic development strategy, projects, properties, partnerships, and operations under board direction. The role focuses on attracting quality business investment, advancing a future business park, marketing commercial areas, and supporting infrastructure and tax-base diversification while respecting agricultural and community priorities. The Executive Director will build consensus, communicate the value of sustainable growth, and develop strong relationships with public and private stakeholders. The position also involves analyzing development opportunities and moving a shared community vision from planning to results. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline and significant progressive experience in economic development, real estate development, business attraction, or a related field; equivalent education and executive experience may be considered. Demonstrated results in economic development or business attraction, experience assessing sites and working with developers, and strong project management skills are important. The ideal candidate will bring sound political judgment, neutrality, credibility, and the ability to build coalitions and relationships with economic development partners. Leadership experience in economic development organizations or public-private partnerships is preferred, and knowledge of the relevant state’s economic development landscape is desirable.
