Associate Vice President, Facilities Management

The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President of Facilities Management to lead facilities operations across a complex, multi-campus environment. The role oversees maintenance and operations, engineering services, utilities and energy management, grounds, building services, waste management, security systems, preventive maintenance, and infrastructure. The leader will guide a large workforce, steward resources, and advance sustainability, emergency response, workforce planning, and operational improvement. They will balance daily service needs with long-term planning and ensure facilities support the organization’s academic, research, healthcare, residential, and administrative priorities. Candidates should bring progressive facilities management leadership experience in a large, complex organization, ideally in higher education, healthcare, research, or another mission-driven setting. Deep expertise in facilities operations, utility infrastructure, organizational leadership, budgeting, and strategic planning is required. The role also calls for experience leading large teams through change, building partnerships across diverse stakeholder groups, and communicating effectively with technical and non-technical audiences. A collaborative leadership style focused on accountability, safety, customer service, and operational excellence is essential.
