Head of Engineering, AI & Data

The Company is seeking a Head of Engineering, AI & Data to lead its end-to-end data and AI engineering function. The role will manage, mentor, and scale teams across data, AI, and software engineering, while partnering with executive leadership to shape and deliver long-term strategy. A key responsibility is redesigning the core data platform to support AI product development, including oversight of platform, integration, and infrastructure teams. The successful candidate will guide adoption of modern language-model and agentic AI tools, balancing strategic direction with hands-on execution to deliver practical, scalable products. Candidates should have at least two years of experience in a senior data or AI leadership role and a deep understanding of cloud-based data platforms. They should bring strong exposure to large language models, generative AI, and agentic AI, including experience launching products using these technologies. The role requires hands-on experience building data and AI products, strong machine-learning fundamentals, and expertise in data and software engineering. Applicants should also have a proven ability to mentor and manage senior engineers, technical leads, and managers in fast-scaling environments. Excellent English communication skills are required; German is an advantage.
