Non-Executive Director, Finance (Board-level role)

The Company is seeking a Non-Executive Director (Finance) to provide independent oversight and help shape its long-term strategic direction. Working with the Board and executive leadership, the successful candidate will scrutinize financial performance, provide assurance on risk and governance, and offer constructive challenge on complex decisions. The role also involves supporting sustainable investment and value for money, contributing to an inclusive Board culture, and building trusted relationships with colleagues and stakeholders. Candidates should be qualified finance or accountancy professionals with significant financial expertise, ideally gained in a leading accountancy or professional services firm. Strong experience in audit, risk management, financial controls, and assurance is required, along with the ability to assess complex financial information and engage confidently with external auditors. Experience overseeing major capital investment programmes, including business cases and delivery assurance, is advantageous. An understanding of the health and care landscape, strategic judgement, and strong relationship-building skills are also valued.
