Vice President, Medical Affairs, Physician Enterprise

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Medical Affairs to provide strategic leadership for its physician enterprise, ambulatory care services, and clinical councils. The role oversees clinical practice management for a large group of physicians and advanced practice providers, while advancing clinical programs, evidence-based protocols, and integrated care networks. Responsibilities include supporting provider integration and compensation strategies, contract management, service-line growth, recruitment and retention, quality and productivity, and financial stewardship. The VPMA partners with clinical and administrative leaders to improve access, patient outcomes, care coordination, and operational performance, while ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory, accreditation, and quality standards. Candidates should have demonstrated experience managing large, multispecialty practices and more than 10 years of medical practice and medical staff or administrative leadership. Strong physician relations, teamwork, communication, negotiation, analytical skills, and experience working with health system leadership and boards are required. The ideal candidate can lead complex, long-term initiatives and transformational change while addressing day-to-day operational needs. Board certification or equivalent in medicine or surgery, along with a current physician license or eligibility for licensure in New York, is required; an advanced business or related degree is preferred.
