Vice President for Industry Engagement

The Company seeks a Vice President for Industry Engagement to establish and lead a centralized function that serves as a strategic connection between the organization and industry partners. The role will develop and operationalize a coordinated model that connects existing capabilities across academic, research, and administrative units. The Vice President will help translate external opportunities into effective internal collaboration and partnerships, while strengthening the organization’s impact beyond its walls. As a senior executive leader, this person will build trust and coordination across autonomous units and advance a shared approach to external engagement. Candidates should bring at least 15 years of progressively responsible experience in corporate or industry engagement, economic development, or a comparable external-facing leadership role. Executive-level experience within a research institution or similarly complex organization is required, along with a record of building, launching, or significantly growing a centralized relationship-management or partnership function. The role calls for strong executive presence and the ability to influence and coordinate across units without formal authority. Candidates should also be able to communicate a compelling organizational story to partners, faculty, and staff.
