Interim Head of Program

The Company is seeking a Head of Program to guide program strategy and development, ensuring projects are relevant, high-quality, and aligned with organizational priorities. The role leads a multidisciplinary team, translates strategy into operational objectives, and strengthens cross-sector collaboration and performance. Responsibilities include developing funding opportunities and partnerships, shaping major projects, and overseeing monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning (MEAL) processes. The Head of Program also provides technical quality oversight, supports learning and innovation, represents the organization with external stakeholders, and leads emergency preparedness and response within the team. Candidates should hold a master’s degree in a relevant technical field, international cooperation, or humanitarian development, and have at least five years of humanitarian development experience, including complex project management and work in a relevant technical sector. Excellent English and strong people-management skills are required, including the ability to develop staff autonomy and guide teams through change. The role also calls for sound organization and prioritization, effective communication, stress management, empathy, autonomy, and flexibility.
