Assistant General Counsel, Business & Legal Affairs

The Company is seeking an experienced attorney to support its content acquisition and distribution work. Responsibilities include structuring, drafting, and negotiating commercial agreements for subscription services, digital distribution, content licensing, and advertising. The role also advises on content operations, data use, product development, and legal issues related to new content delivery and monetization features, including initiatives involving artificial intelligence and machine learning. The attorney will collaborate with cross-functional teams and support legal guidance on content-related regulations and practices. Candidates should have at least seven years of transactional legal experience, preferably in digital media or technology, with substantial experience negotiating content licensing and digital distribution agreements. Knowledge of commercial deal structures, intellectual property, data privacy, and security issues is important; familiarity with video advertising technology is an advantage. Applicants should demonstrate sound legal judgment, clear contract drafting, strong collaboration, and the ability to manage complex, time-sensitive matters with minimal supervision. A bachelor’s degree, a Juris Doctor from a U.S.-accredited law school, and authorization to practice law in California or New York are required.
