Senior Automation Engineer, Assistant Vice President Greater Pune, India Area

The Company is seeking a hands-on Senior Automation Engineer to advance quality engineering and ensure software is reliable, scalable, and secure. Responsibilities include designing automated strategies and test plans for functional, integration, performance, and security testing; developing and maintaining test scripts; and integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines. The role promotes test-first development and trunk-based workflows, conducts code reviews focused on testability and security, and supports vulnerability assessment and observability. The engineer will collaborate with software, architecture, product, and DevOps teams, mentor junior QA engineers, and improve testing practices across the development lifecycle. Candidates should bring 8–12 years of experience in an IT quality role and a bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience. Required qualifications include hands-on expertise with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright; building robust frameworks; and designing scalable test systems. Strong knowledge of TDD, BDD, CI/CD, trunk-based development, security testing, vulnerability scanning, and code review is essential. Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter and cloud testing environments such as AWS or Kubernetes is also required; contract testing, containerization, and shift-left testing are advantageous.
