Chief Data Officer (CDO)

The Company is seeking a Chief Data Officer to shape and execute data and AI strategy in alignment with business objectives, advise senior leadership, and drive business transformation. Responsibilities include establishing data and AI governance, ensuring regulatory compliance, developing and optimizing data platforms and infrastructure, and leading specialist teams responsible for data management and analysis. The CDO will partner across business functions to expand data and AI adoption, define performance measures, and deliver organizational change. Candidates should have experience developing and executing corporate data strategies and applying AI, business intelligence, and analytics to achieve business results. Practical expertise in data platforms, data governance, AI governance, security, and privacy management is required, along with strong cross-functional leadership and communication skills. A bachelor’s degree and business-level English proficiency are required. Experience leading a data function, applying generative AI or large language models, using major cloud platforms, or working with data in energy or social infrastructure is preferred; conversational Japanese is an advantage.
