Direct Reports: US Accounting Manager, Senior Financial Analyst (FP&A), Trust Accounting Specialist, Accounts Payable/Receivable Team.
Core Mandate: To upgrade, institutionalize, and lead the finance and accounting function for the US full-service platform. This individual will inject Big 4-level accounting rigor, technical GAAP compliance, and internal controls into the US operations. They will serve as the CFO's execution partner on the ground-transforming raw Applied Epic production metrics into institutional-grade, PE-ready financial statements, while building a scalable accounting engine designed to absorb aggressive M&A roll-ups.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Modernization & Big 4-Level Controls
Upgrade Accounting Architecture: Modernize the US financial infrastructure, transforming legacy accounting practices into a rigorous, audit-ready, institutional-grade function.
Establish Internal Controls: Design, implement, and enforce robust internal control frameworks (SOX-lite standard) across all US business units to protect assets, prevent fraud, and ensure absolute data integrity.
Lead Monthly Close & Consolidation: Own the end-to-end US month-end close process, ensuring rapid, highly accurate delivery of financial results to the EVP & CFO for cross-border consolidation.
Insurance Economics & Trust Accounting Governance

Optimize Applied Epic General Ledger (GL): Partner with the US COO and Applied Epic Administrator to optimize the system's financial modules, ensuring real-time alignment between agency management production data and the master general ledger.
Audit Carrier Revenue & Contingencies: Implement automated tracking for carrier commission statements, producer commission validation schedules, and national contingency bonus recognition.
PE-Grade Reporting, FP&A & Board Prep
Build Institutional Financial Packs: Co-author the monthly and quarterly investor and board presentation decks alongside the EVP & CFO, translating complex operational variances into clear EBITDA narratives.
Drive US Variance Analysis: Run granular monthly "Budget vs. Actual" variance analyses across all US Lines of Business (Commercial, Personal, Benefits), highlighting margin leaks or expense overages for the US COO to correct.
Manage Lender Compliance: Monitor and calculate financial covenants, leverage ratios, and borrowing base certificates required by the senior credit facilities funding the M&A pipeline.
M&A Execution & Post-Merge Integration
Due Diligence Support: Partner with the Corporate Development team to review Quality of Earnings (QofE) and assess target US retail brokerages.
Onboarding & Synergy Capture: Lead the financial onboarding of acquired agencies, migrating their general ledgers, producer payrolls, and fiduciary accounts onto the centralized US platform.
Candidate Profile & Qualifications
Experience: 10–15+ years of progressive corporate finance leadership experience.
