Head of Life Sciences Valuation, Tax & Financial Reporting

The Company is seeking a Head of Life Sciences Valuation to lead and scale its tax and financial reporting valuation practice. Responsibilities include acquiring clients across biotech companies and investment firms, building referral relationships with audit and tax advisers, and leading valuation engagements involving equity compensation, purchase price allocations, portfolios, and complex securities. The role also involves integrating AI into service delivery, contributing to platform development, and recruiting and leading a US-based team. The successful candidate will advise clients and confidently defend valuation conclusions with auditors and boards. Candidates should have strong tax and financial reporting valuation experience, including 409A and relevant accounting standards, plus hands-on expertise in complex securities such as derivatives, preferred equity, and option pricing models. Meaningful life sciences experience, including familiarity with clinical development, therapeutic approaches, and financing milestones, is required. Proven business development and team leadership skills are essential. An established client network, audit-firm relationships, royalty or risk-adjusted net present value valuation experience, AI adoption, or startup experience are advantageous; relevant professional credentials or a science degree are also beneficial.
