Head of Compliance

The Company is seeking an Interim Head of Compliance to join their team. This key leadership role is pivotal in shaping the organization's regulatory framework and ensuring the highest standards of governance, conduct, and risk management. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading all aspects of regulatory compliance, providing independent assurance to the Board, and working closely with the Chief Risk Officer, MLRO, Board Committees, and regulators to offer expert guidance on compliance and conduct matters. Key responsibilities for the Interim Head of Compliance include managing the compliance function, developing and maintaining compliance frameworks, policies, and monitoring plans, and providing independent oversight and reporting on various compliance and financial crime risks. The role also involves supporting the Board and senior leadership with compliance insight, leading 2nd line regulatory compliance activities, and contributing to the organization's strategic planning, governance, culture, and operational direction. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in conduct and compliance within financial services, a technical understanding of the banking risk and compliance landscape, and a proven track record of influencing senior management and regulators.
