Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

The Company is seeking a Tech Lead with CTO scope to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the protocol engineering team and serving as the external technical voice in various interactions, including protocol reviews, technical due diligence, and integration conversations with investors and ecosystem partners. This role is pivotal in defending the architecture and technical decisions of the studio. The Tech Lead will also be involved in setting the technical standards for protocol audits, on-chain risk parameters, and managing the studio's relationships with external security partners. Applicants must have a proven track record in the DeFi space, having shipped at least one DeFi protocol to mainnet at scale and demonstrated a strong commitment to security. The role requires a deep understanding of protocol engineering, contract security, and on-chain infrastructure, as the Tech Lead will not be in a purely management position. The ideal candidate will have a background that aligns with the seniority and technical expertise needed for this role, such as a senior protocol engineer ready for a leadership position, a CTO from a peer DeFi protocol, or a security-engineering lead with a broader architectural focus. The position is based in Europe, with a remote-first work culture and some light travel to ecosystem events.
