Vice President, Legal – Investment Management

The Company is a dynamic, Asia-focused investment platform with a strong regional presence. They are currently seeking a Vice President to join their expanding legal team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the review and negotiation of complex trading and financing documentation, ensuring the efficient execution of transactions while protecting the firm's interests. This role also involves overseeing the drafting, review, and negotiation of a wide range of commercial agreements, providing pragmatic legal guidance, and acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders. The Vice President will play a key role in the firm's expansion, contributing to new business initiatives and helping to shape innovative investment strategies. Applicants for the Vice President position at the company should hold a Juris Doctor (J.D.) or Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from a recognized institution and be qualified to practice law in the United States or another common law jurisdiction. A strong background in prime brokerage, equity derivatives, and APAC market structures is essential, with 7-12 years' of post-qualification experience in the financial services sector. Prior in-house experience at an investment bank or hedge fund is highly advantageous. The role requires excellent drafting and negotiation skills, a solid understanding of financial markets and the asset management industry, and proficiency in Mandarin and Cantonese is beneficial. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
