Head of Accounting

The Company is seeking a Head of Accounting to oversee the disciplinary and professional management of four accounting teams, including General Ledger Accounting, Invoice Auditing, Travel Expense Accounting, and Sales Accounting. The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering a goal-oriented and cooperative work style, as well as the strategic development of the teams, process optimization, and ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations. This role also involves guaranteeing proper accounting, the preparation and auditing of financial statements in accordance with IFRS, German GAAP, and tax regulations, and the management of various accounting and financial processes. Applicants for the Head of Accounting position at the company should have a completed degree in business administration with a focus on accounting, finance, or controlling, or equivalent qualifications. Professional experience in accounting and finance, including a proven management role, is essential, with a preference for those with experience in an international or industrial environment. The role requires a strong knowledge of IFRS, German GAAP, and tax-related accounting, as well as solid practical experience with SAP and a background in digital financial tools and process automation. The ideal candidate will be a native German speaker with fluent English, possess strong leadership and communication skills, and have experience in change management, shared service center activities, and digitalization projects.
