Head of Accounting

The Company is seeking a Head of Accounting to oversee the disciplinary and professional management of multiple accounting teams, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Travel Expense, and Sales Accounting. The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering a collaborative work environment, ensuring the professional and personal development of team members, and leading strategic and process optimization initiatives. This role also involves guaranteeing compliance with internal and external regulations, preparing financial statements in accordance with IFRS, German GAAP, and tax regulations, and managing the full spectrum of accounting activities, from business transaction postings to group reporting in SAP. Applicants for the Head of Accounting position at the company should have a completed degree in business administration with a focus on accounting, finance, or controlling, or equivalent qualifications. A strong background in accounting and finance, including management experience, is essential, with a preference for those who have worked in international or industrial settings. The role requires in-depth knowledge of IFRS, German GAAP, and tax-related accounting, as well as practical experience with SAP and a proven track record in digitalization and automation projects. The ideal candidate will be a native German speaker with fluent English, possess excellent leadership and communication skills, and have a proactive approach to change management and process improvement.
