Vice President of Credit & Business Intelligence

The Company is seeking a VP of Credit and Business Intelligence to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the credit policy and analytics function, with a focus on small business financing and emerging embedded finance products. This pivotal role involves managing the risk appetite through advanced decisioning models, leading the development and implementation of AI/ML strategies, and supporting the challenge of business operations through data and data science-based business intelligence. The VP will also be tasked with partnering with cross-functional teams to productionize strategies, leveraging various data sources to enhance the credit strategy and merchant experience, and managing executive discussions on analytics prioritization. Applicants for the VP of Credit and Business Intelligence position at the company should have 8-10 years of credit and/or analytics experience, with a preference for those with 3+ years of direct merchant/SMB risk experience. The role requires a deep knowledge of underwriting, at least 5 years of experience in leading teams and scaling analytics functions, and a proven track record in implementing business intelligence-based optimization strategies. Proficiency in SQL and Python or R is essential, as is experience with BI tools and cloud data platforms. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, and a Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, with advanced MS/PhD qualifications being a plus.
