Senior General Counsel

The Company is seeking a Senior General Counsel to serve as its chief legal advisor and a key member of the executive leadership team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all legal affairs, providing strategic counsel on a wide range of legal matters, and advising on complex legal, regulatory, and policy issues. This role is pivotal in supporting the organization's mission and vision, which are centered around delivering exceptional public service and ensuring travel is easy for all. The Senior General Counsel will also be involved in significant organizational initiatives, strategic transactions, and will have the opportunity to influence governance and policy decisions. Applicants for the Senior General Counsel position at the company must have a J.D. from an accredited law school, be eligible for admission in Washington State, and have at least 8 years of legal experience, preferably with a focus on governmental, municipal, or highly regulated organizations. The role requires a candidate with a broad legal background, the ability to provide practical and strategic legal counsel, and experience in managing outside counsel. Exceptional judgment, communication, and relationship-building skills are essential, as is the ability to navigate complex legal and policy issues in a collaborative environment. The Senior General Counsel will be expected to support the organization's objectives while ensuring legal compliance and managing legal risks.
