Vice President, Legal

The Company is seeking a Vice President, Legal to serve as its principal legal officer, with a focus on developing and implementing legal strategies, managing legal risk, and providing expert counsel on a wide range of legal matters. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the legal aspects of the company's operations, including but not limited to, IPO-readiness, corporate governance, securities, business development, commercial contracts, tax, litigation management, compliance, regulatory matters, employment, and intellectual property. This role requires a minimum of 15 years of corporate and transactional legal experience, particularly within the biotechnology industry, and a background that includes both major law firm training and in-house experience. The VP, Legal will also be expected to have a strong track record in public company, IPO/S-1, and complex commercial transactions, including M&A. Applicants for the VP, Legal position at the company should be prepared to take on a leadership role, providing legal guidance to the executive team and Board of Directors.
