Assistant Vice President, Legal

The Company is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Legal to join its expanding Asia legal team. The successful candidate will be based in Hyderabad and will be primarily responsible for providing legal advice related to the company's APAC investment platform. This includes matters involving regulated entities, inbound investment structures, and portfolio company issues. The role also involves assisting on a range of transactions, with a focus on distressed debt, real estate, and special situations within the region. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 10 years' of relevant post-qualification experience, with a strong background in SEBI-regulated entities and a working knowledge of the GIFT City (IFSCA) regulatory framework. Experience in at least two of the priority areas, such as debenture trust deeds, real estate lending transactions, private credit structures, or distressed/special situations investing in India, is also required. Applicants for this role at the company should be self-starters with a proven ability to take initiative and solve problems independently. The role demands a team-oriented individual with strong integrity, the ability to handle confidential situations with professionalism, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. A background in a top-tier Indian law firm, exposure to cross-border legal work, and prior in-house experience at a global or multi-strategy asset management firm are preferred.
