Head of Research Platform Engineering

The Company is seeking a Head of Research Platform Engineering to lead the development of a next-generation research platform that will serve as the foundation for the global investment teams' quantitative strategies. This senior engineering leader will be responsible for building a firm-wide quantitative research and analytics platform, with a focus on backtesting, signal generation, model lifecycle management, and productionization. The role involves driving architecture decisions, defining the long-term technology roadmap, and working closely with senior investment and technology leadership on a highly visible initiative. The successful candidate will also be instrumental in building and leading a high-caliber engineering organization as the platform grows. Candidates for this role should have a strong background in platform architecture and distributed systems, with experience in large-scale research, analytics, quant, or investment platforms. A deep understanding of the software lifecycle from research to production deployment, particularly in quantitative investing, asset management, hedge funds, or capital markets environments, is essential. The role requires a leader with strong technical skills, including expertise in Python and/or Java, and exposure to modern cloud and data technologies.
