Vice President of Credit & Business Intelligence

The Company is seeking a VP of Credit and Business Intelligence to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the Credit Policy and Analytics function, with a focus on small business financing and emerging embedded finance products. This pivotal role involves managing the risk appetite through advanced decisioning models, leading the development and implementation of AI/ML strategies, and supporting the challenge of business operations through data and data science-based business intelligence. The VP will also be tasked with partnering with cross-functional teams to productionize strategies, ensuring data quality, and managing executive discussions on analytics prioritization. Applicants must have 8-10 years of credit and/or analytics experience, with a preference for those with 3+ years of direct merchant/SMB risk experience. Deep knowledge of underwriting using various data sources, particularly in the context of unsecured credit risk, is essential. The role requires a proven track record in leading teams, scaling analytics functions, and implementing business intelligence-based optimization strategies. Fluency in SQL and Python or R is necessary, along with experience in BI tools and cloud data platforms. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, and a Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, with advanced qualifications being a plus.
