General Counsel

The Company is in need of a seasoned General Counsel to provide in-house, law firm partner-level legal guidance on corporate matters. The successful candidate will be a trusted legal advisor to the company's ownership and senior management, offering strategic counsel on a wide range of corporate legal issues, particularly those related to technology and global operations. This role requires a Juris Doctor (JD) degree, at least 20 years of relevant legal experience, and a strong background in corporate law, including experience with mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions. The General Counsel will also be responsible for overseeing commercial, technology, and intellectual property legal matters, and must have a proven track record of senior-level legal judgment and decision-making. Applicants for the General Counsel position at the company should have an active license to practice law and be in good standing with the applicable bar association. Experience in a financial services organization, such as a private fund manager, regulated exchange, or financial technology company, is preferred. The role demands excellent communication skills, the ability to build relationships, and a comfort with evolving business technologies. The General Counsel will lead and manage a legal team, providing mentorship and guidance, and will be expected to oversee a variety of legal matters as the company's needs evolve.
