Vice President of Procurement

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Procurement to oversee all aspects of product procurement, including program negotiation with manufacturers, and the hiring, training, and management of procurement staff. The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving corporate goals, ensuring profitability related to vendor programs, and developing and executing annual marketing programs. This role requires a hands-on approach, with a focus on team management, inventory control, and the continuous improvement of purchasing strategies and processes. The Vice President of Procurement will also be expected to interact with customers and vendors to maintain high service levels and to stay abreast of industry trends to enhance the company's position in the market. Applicants for the Vice President of Procurement position at the company should have a Diploma/GED or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 6-7 years' in procurement or a related area, including supervisory experience. A background in the food distribution or foodservice industry is highly preferred, with a strong understanding of the sector and a proven track record in procurement.
