Area Vice President, Anesthesia Greater Charlotte, NC Area

The Company is seeking an Area Vice President for Anesthesia to join their senior management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing visionary leadership, holding service line expertise, and fostering a common vision for the national service line. This role involves serving as a representative for division and area initiatives, collaborating with leadership to prioritize and model financial impact for new business models, and leading monthly operation performance reviews. The Area Vice President will also be tasked with developing and implementing annual business plans, growth strategies, and operational objectives, as well as overseeing both ambulatory and inpatient services to ensure high standards of clinical quality, patient safety, and operational efficiency. Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, with a Master’s or terminal degree preferred, and a minimum of 10 years of healthcare administrative experience, including at least 5 years in a management role overseeing clinical operations or service lines. The role requires effective communication, expertise in healthcare planning, operations, and financial management, and a proven ability to lead large, multispecialty service lines in a complex, matrixed environment. The Area Vice President will also be responsible for championing quality improvement and patient safety initiatives, enhancing the patient experience, and supporting the academic mission through research, education, and innovation. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities are essential, as is the capacity to influence and gain support across the organization to achieve institutional goals.
