Head of Engineering

The Company is seeking a Head of Engineering to take on a pivotal role in leading a critical product domain within its supply chain platform for perishable goods. The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end ownership of the domain, including technical strategy, architecture, engineering execution, team development, quality, and business outcomes. This role demands a technical leader with a strategic mindset, the ability to make sound architectural decisions, and a commitment to developing engineering talent. The Head of Engineering will lead a lean, high-performing engineering organization and ensure the delivery of high-quality software through an AI-assisted, agentic software development lifecycle. Applicants must have a minimum of 12 years of software engineering experience, with at least 6 years in engineering leadership, and a proven track record of owning delivery and outcomes for a production software product or platform domain. Strong system design and architecture expertise, experience in leading distributed engineering teams, and the ability to balance engineering quality with business priorities are essential. The role also requires experience in communicating technical decisions and strategy to executive stakeholders and a background in high-accountability environments. Preferred qualifications include experience with AI-assisted development, agentic engineering workflows, and a background in complex operational domains such as supply chain, logistics, or IoT.
