Assistant General Counsel, Employment & Benefits

The Company is seeking an Assistant General Counsel for Employment and Benefits. The successful candidate will be the lead legal representative for a range of employment and benefit matters, including but not limited to, employment operations and related advice, employment litigation, benefits, occupational injury benefit plan matters, and HR policy support. This role requires a strategic partner who can provide accurate and timely legal advice, support various departments, and lead legal aspects of complex projects. The Assistant General Counsel will also be involved in new leader orientation and will serve as a liaison to various committees and task forces. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree, a Juris Doctor (J.D.), and an active license to practice law, with a minimum of 10 years of relevant health law experience. Full technical proficiency in employment and benefits law, as well as extensive knowledge of federal and state laws related to employment practices, is essential. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading legal aspects of employment and benefits, outstanding analytical and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-performing environment. A background in representing a complex health system and a good understanding of the operational and strategic issues in the healthcare industry are highly preferred.
