Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences

The Company is seeking a Dean for its College of Arts and Sciences, which is one of the largest and most comprehensive academic units. The successful candidate will serve as the chief academic and administrative officer, leading the college's academic programs, faculty and staff, budget, research and creative activity, and student success initiatives. This role is pivotal in setting a clear and achievable direction for the college, advancing student recruitment and retention, and aligning academic programs with workforce needs. The Dean will also be responsible for building a culture of trust, accountability, and professional respect, and will serve as the college's principal advocate both on and off campus. Applicants for the Dean position must have an earned terminal degree in a relevant discipline, with a record that supports a tenured full professor appointment. A minimum of 5 years' academic administrative experience, including a strong background in strategic and responsible management, is required. The ideal candidate will have experience in interdisciplinary leadership, as well as a proven track record in fundraising and donor engagement. The role demands a leader who can navigate the college through a period of reorganization and is committed to the values of a student-focused, land-grant research university.
