Provost

The Company is seeking a Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs to serve as its chief academic officer and a key partner in advancing the institution's academic mission and national leadership. The successful candidate will be a visionary leader with a distinguished record of scholarship, a deep commitment to the values of a leading public research university, and the ability to lead at a large scale and with significant complexity. This role involves providing strategic leadership for the academic enterprise, overseeing academic and faculty affairs, and ensuring the institution's academic priorities align with its mission of excellence, innovation, and responsiveness to the needs of the public. The ideal candidate will have an earned terminal degree, a strong academic record, and substantial senior academic administrative experience in a research-intensive environment. Responsibilities include defining and executing a compelling academic strategy, recruiting and retaining exceptional faculty, and fostering a culture of academic excellence, intellectual openness, and shared governance. The Provost will also be expected to strengthen research and interdisciplinary collaboration, advance educational innovation, and ensure the institution's impact is felt both nationally and globally.
