Senior Counsel

The Company is in search of a Senior Counsel to join its global legal team. The successful candidate will be a strategic legal advisor, working closely with business leaders and project teams to navigate the legal complexities of major projects. This senior-level role requires a JD from an ABA-accredited law school, with at least 15 years' of legal experience, including significant transactional work in the engineering and construction industry. The Senior Counsel will be responsible for drafting, negotiating, and interpreting a range of sophisticated agreements, with a focus on EPC/EPCM contracts. The role demands a professional with a strong background in commercial and legal risk management, as well as the ability to provide practical, strategic legal advice to senior business leaders. Key responsibilities for the Senior Counsel include partnering with business lines on project development, providing legal support throughout project execution, and managing claims and disputes. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in independent negotiation of complex commercial agreements, experience in project execution, and a deep understanding of legal and commercial risk within major projects. Exceptional communication, judgment, and negotiation skills are essential, as is the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment. The role also involves mentoring and developing other legal professionals, delivering training, and ensuring compliance with laws and corporate standards. The position is based in Greenville, SC, and the candidate must be willing to work on-site and travel as needed.
