Associate Vice President, Data Scientist, Investment Product & Advisory, Consumer Banking Group Analytics Greater Hong Kong Area

The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President, Data Scientist for its Investment Product and Advisory business. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of the design, development, and deployment of Gen AI and Agentic AI applications, with a focus on the affluent customer segment. This role involves leading the end-to-end process of creating AI solutions that enhance customer targeting, cross-selling, and investment portfolio growth. The AVP will also be responsible for building and fine-tuning LLMs and autonomous AI agent workflows tailored to wealth management scenarios, as well as ensuring that all AI models and data pipelines comply with the company's governance and risk frameworks. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field and a minimum of 7 years of hands-on data science and advanced analytics experience, particularly within financial services, fintech, or wealth management. The role requires a proven track record in building and deploying Gen AI, LLM applications, or Agentic AI frameworks, with a strong technical foundation in AI, including machine learning, NLP, deep learning, and statistical modeling. Experience in enterprise BI tools and a working knowledge of consumer investment products and advisory sales workflows are essential. The ideal candidate will have a strong business acumen, excellent communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to mentor team members in data science best practices. Fluency in English and Cantonese is also a key requirement.
