Senior Counsel

The Company is in search of a Senior Counsel to play a pivotal role in the establishment and leadership of its in-house legal function. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the negotiation of complex commercial agreements with large enterprise customers, including various types of contracts and related legal terms. This role demands a hands-on lawyer with a strong background in commercial contracting, enterprise agreements, and experience in the technology sector, particularly with a focus on AI. The Senior Counsel will also be tasked with creating and implementing the company's legal processes, providing guidance on a range of legal matters, and supporting the company's growth through the development of a robust legal function. Applicants for the Senior Counsel position at the company must have a J.D. and active bar admission, with a preference for those admitted in New York. A minimum of 5-10 years' of relevant legal experience is required, with a background in early-stage or high-growth technology startups being essential. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in negotiating enterprise commercial agreements, experience in AI or other technical technology sectors, and a demonstrated ability to establish legal processes in a dynamic environment. While not mandatory, experience in data privacy, security, and AI-related legal matters, as well as in corporate governance and fundraising activities, is considered a valuable addition to the skill set.
