Head of R&D

The Company is seeking a Head of R&D to oversee the organization of the R&D project portfolio and to direct resources towards key flagship projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and strengthening the early stages of new development, establishing a development review system, identifying technical bottlenecks, and providing solutions. Additionally, the role involves coaching junior researchers, coordinating technical decision-making with related departments, and engaging in technical discussions with global partners and KOLs. Applicants for the Head of R&D position at the company should have a proven track record in leading the full development cycle of medical devices, particularly those classified as Class II/III or implantable. Experience in applying front-heavy development systems such as Stage-Gate, Design Control, and DFM is essential, as is a background in proactively verifying technical risks during the early stages of product development. The role requires a leader with a servant/coaching style and the ability to communicate effectively in English with global partners and KOLs. The ideal candidate will be adept at technical decision-making, and problem-solving, and have a strong focus on the development and success of the R&D team.
