General Counsel

The Company is seeking a General Counsel to serve as the primary legal authority, with a strong focus on contract law, corporate governance, labor law, and fundraising support. The successful candidate will be responsible for negotiating and structuring key partner agreements, including those with a significant commercial impact. This role requires deep, practical expertise in Croatian employment law, as the General Counsel will be the go-to authority on all HR and labor-related legal matters. As the company expands internationally, the General Counsel will also play a key role in building out the legal function to support new markets, ensuring legal efficiency and cost control. Applicants for the General Counsel position at the company should have a Master's degree in law, with a Bar Exam (pravosudni ispit) preferred, and a minimum of 10 years of legal experience. A strong generalist legal background in corporate law, contract law, labor law, and fundraising is essential. The role demands experience in negotiating and structuring complex commercial agreements, as well as the ability to uphold the highest standards of legal ethics and business integrity. The ideal candidate will be fluent in English and Croatian, with additional languages being a plus, and have experience working across multiple jurisdictions or coordinating with international/local counsel. This is a hands-on, generalist role that requires a proactive individual who can thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
