About the Role
Greater New York City Area (5 Boroughs)
The VP, Global Sales will be responsible for driving global distribution and market share growth for the juvenile category-leading aden+anais® and HALO® brands. The position will report directly to the Chief Commercial Officer and will work closely with the executive leadership team to achieve the company’s sales and profit growth. This executive will focus on sales team management and integration, business analytics and key customer relationships. Key Responsibilities • Lead the integration of two business unit sales teams into one company-wide sales organization, building and optimizing the organization structure to maximize results. • Manage the global sales organization, including sales teams specific to the US, Canada, EU, Japan and China. • Oversee sales managers across traditional channels (Mass Market, Department Store and Boutique) as well as ecommerce to achieve optimized omnichannel results. • Manage the Sales Support function, working with Operations on Customer Service and working with Marketing on Customer Marketing. • Become a product line expert with the ability to sell across all categories of goods, including soft goods and hard goods. • Define sales processes and best practices to deliver forecast accuracy and financial results. • Develop annual sales plans and lead team execution of the plan, adjusting tactics and plans as needed to achieve business results. • Use all available information sources (e.g., syndicated data, primary and secondary research, online activity) to make data-driven decisions and plans. • Partner with retail buyers on category management, optimizing the presence of our brands by actively managing the portfolio on an account and channel basis. • Deliver timely and insightful sales reporting to the company, management team and Board. • Partner with brand Merchandising leads to offer consistent global product offerings. • Act as the voice of the customer in business planning and new product development reviews. • Identify new channel and category opportunities and develop plans to secure incremental distribution. • Coach and develop the team of direct reports, ensuring a culture of learning and collaboration. Qualifications • A minimum of 10 years of sales leadership roles in the consumer goods industry, preferably in a juvenile-related industry. • Experience selling directly to key retailers such as BuyBuyBaby, Target, and Walmart. • Experience managing the ecommerce channel/function to employ an omnichannel approach. • A strategic thinker with strong influence management and execution capabilities. • Executive presence and presentation skills to represent the company at the highest levels. • Bachelors degree (MBA preferred)
