About the Role

Greater Durham, NC Area (On-site - Headquarter location)
Functions:
- Education/Academic Administration
Known Requirements:
- 10 years experience of university level faculty member & administrator at doctoral granting university required
- Experience of research, scholarship or creative activity that has greatly impacted the scholar’s discipline required
- Experience as a teacher, scholar, academic leader to advance the University’s vision to become a research intensive institution preferred
- Prior experience in leading the development of a strategic plan, using a process that seeks broad input from across the community & positions the university for continued achievement in teaching, research, student success preferred
- Prior experience in compliance and accreditation preferred
- Experience of working within a shared governance culture preferred
- Prior experience in leadership of graduate education in which there has been a focus upon pedagogical initiatives to prepare students for emerging opportunities preferred
- Experience of enrollment management, retention, student success initiatives, fundraising for both academic & other university priorities preferred
- Experience of substantial executive, fiscal, personnel, data evaluation & ability to lead a complex academic organization preferred
- Terminal Degree in a relevant field from an Accredited Institution required
