About the Role
Remote (anywhere in the US)
Member of the executive team and a key business partner to the Chief Executive Officer and senior management team. As part of the leadership team, this role will oversee the product roadmap for all of products. The role is absolutely critical in taking data and transform it to relevant, necessary and executable information and defining the future of the product and service offerings, and overall company strategy. The ideal candidate will have had a successful track record of creating and delivering products that resonate strongly with customers. They will be data driven, and creative, continuously testing and looking for new and innovative ways to delight the customer. The VP Product will be hands on and equally comfortable rolling up their sleeves to get the job done, as they are with delivering through others. He/she will be an inspiring leader and communicator, capable of articulating and presenting a clear and compelling vision as part of the senior leadership team. This leader will also be highly effective at cross-functional stakeholder management and a strong and credible contributor to executive team decision-making. • Define, articulate and execute product and design vision and company strategy. • Gain and share insights with other leadership team members to continue improving the product and the business, capabilities and feature sets. • Lead and present to senior management regularly—at least quarterly—analyses of product portfolio to optimize allocation of the company’s investment based on KPIs and financial measurements of product portfolio. • Define and scope features to better serve the user community and encourage adoption. • Manage product team (includes product management, product design and UX). • Work cross functionally with marketing, engineering, and ops team. • Build effective processes and metrics for success. Facilitate a new disciplined approach and standards for the roadmap and direction of the organization. • Define product requirements and the overall roadmap of the business with clarity on feasibility, time, cost, and impact. • Hire, Mentor and Manage the product and design teams to execute on product vision. • Drive innovation and scalable processes around the product development cycle. • Develop metrics to assess the success of products and features and determine necessary enhancements. • Work closely with the engineering team around release scope and priorities, delivery estimates, and product release process. Requirements • Tier 3 automotive experience - creating products for car dealers • Demonstrable success taking products from concept to cash flow positive o This includes the ability to form, organize and present a vision that gets buy-in all the way through to oversight of product managers during build, launch, and support lifecycle phases • Experience in M&A process from diligence thru integration - we will be looking at add-on products via acquisition • Deep and recent experience in Digital Advertising • Established private equity-backed or scale of 20-100M business experience in key product leadership positions within leading Apps, Cloud & SaaS platform(s), • Demonstrated accountability for clear articulation and execution of product strategy, including, board-level advocacy of product vision and strategy as well as periodic updates on plans and key performance indicators. • An entrepreneurial spirit that is flexible, experimental, and resourceful. • A Bachelor’s Computer Science Degree. MBA preferred, or equivalent work experience. Location The role is optimally based in Atlanta but can be based anywhere in U.S.
