Head of Operations and IT

The Company is seeking a Head of Operations with a strong background in UK banking operations and financial regulation. The successful candidate will be accountable for the strategic planning and delivery of operations and systems to ensure general processing, effective outsourcing of services, business continuity, and operational resilience. This role involves owning the company's IT strategy and operations, leading IT change, and overseeing cybersecurity strategy and compliance with regulatory requirements. The Head of Operations will also be responsible for payment processing, fraud operations, and providing regular operational updates to the Executive Committee. Applicants for the Head of Operations position at the company should have significant experience in operations leadership within a UK bank, building society, or FCA-regulated financial institution. A deep understanding of UK financial regulation, including the FCA Handbook, PRA rules, and operational resilience, is essential. The role requires a demonstrated ability to design, scale, and optimize operational processes, with experience in digital banking systems and automation being highly desirable. The successful candidate will be expected to manage a high-performing team, ensure strong operational controls, and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery plans in line with regulatory requirements.
