The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President for Shariah Advisory in Consumer Banking. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing Shariah advisory support in the development, review, structuring, documentation, and implementation of Islamic banking products and services. This includes ensuring compliance with the resolutions and directives of the Internal Shariah Supervision Committee, the Higher Shariah Authority, and relevant regulatory requirements. The role also involves coordinating and performing ISSC secretariat activities, conducting Shariah research and analysis, and supporting policy and procedural reviews. The jobholder will contribute to the effective implementation of the company's Shariah governance framework and support adherence to the requirements of the CBUAE Shariah Governance Standard. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in Shariah, Islamic finance, Islamic banking, business administration, law, or a related discipline, with 4-6 years' of experience in Shariah advisory, compliance, research, or related areas. A good understanding of Islamic banking products, Shariah governance requirements, and AAOIFI Shariah Standards is essential. The role requires strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple assignments and work under pressure. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is necessary, and a professional qualification in Islamic banking or finance is preferred. The ideal candidate will be a team player with a strong sense of ownership, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
