Head of Research & Development for Technology & Business

The Company is seeking a Head of Research and Development for Technology and Business to set strategic direction across three research centers and strengthen their connections with education, industry, and other knowledge institutions. The role includes leading and developing center leaders, aligning research ambitions with finances and capacity, and building a sustainable, strategically prioritized project portfolio. The successful candidate will develop national and international partnerships, strengthen opportunities for external funding, and guide priorities in areas such as digitalization, artificial intelligence, the green transition, and security of supply. They will also contribute to the organization’s broader research and development strategy and create results through others in a complex, specialized environment. Candidates should have relevant higher education and a PhD or equivalent research qualifications in a related field, such as technology, engineering, design, innovation, business development, or organization. They should bring substantial management experience and documented success developing professional environments, with experience managing leaders considered an advantage. Strong strategic, financial, and organizational capabilities are required, including the ability to turn ambitions into clear priorities and align resources with goals. Candidates should also be skilled at building trust and support among specialists and have experience developing partnerships, alongside an understanding of how research, innovation, business, and education interact.
